NOTE: Ok, so this was supposed to be posted on Christmas Day, but, my parents internet sucks and it wouldnt effing post for some reason...so, here it is...even though, this post is kind of stupid

OH YEAAAAH.

It's MINE. It's the coolest effing Coffee Maker ever. And, it only makes one cup of joe, and I love it. LOOOOVE LOVE IT. I saw this bad ass at my friend Kayla's house, and seriously fell in love with it. I had to ask for one for Christmas, because, I hate making a whole pot of coffee when I will probably only drink one cup. You can also make tea and hot chocolate with it.

I also received:
- K-Cup Carousel
- SingStar vol 2 for PS3
- Prince of Persia for PS3
- MK vs. DC Universe for PS3 (Kollector's Edition)
- Absolutely Everything (complete series of Absolutely Fabulous)
- Clothes
- lots of moolah ($$$)
- Gift Cards from Best Buy, Wal-Mart (UGH, but i'll deal), and Bed Bath & Beyond

I have to say that I have certainly enjoyed my Christmas so far. Being around my family has been a blessing, and something that has eased my stress from working retail during the holiday season.

I hope that the next year brings the best for me....

I did it.... [Oct. 29th, 2008|05:20 am]

[mood |nerdy]

I have fallen back in the dark abyss of gaming....

As of Sunday, I am now the owner of a Sony Playstation 3, and it feels so fucking good. YES. I am a nerd, but get the fuck over it. I have been wanting to purchase one, and feel that I have been working extra hard recently in work and school, and felt the need to reward myself. I got the system, and the following games:

- RockBand 1 & 2
- Grand Theft Auto 4
- Dead Space
- Fallout 3
- Buzz TV

I have been playing RB and Buzz non stop for the past 2 days, and have started Dead Space, GTA4, and Fallout. Dead Space is scary as shit. I mean, I haven't been on the edge of my seat that much since I used to play the Resident Evil games on my PS2 a few years ago. Watch this....

Some freaky shit, huh???

Another added bonus of getting the system is the Blu-Ray player, which I am proud to say that my first two Blu-Ray purchases were Danny Boyle's Sunshine and....

Oh god. So bad that it's good....
Let's just say that one scene that makes the whole movie fucking great involves pool balls and...a woman's vagina. Just think about it...

So, if any of you guys have a PS3, add me on your friends on the PlayStation Network. My ID is Suspiria626.

And, I seriously need to write a DETAILED entry about the past few months. I never actually use this thing anymore.

All I know is that Halloween is coming up, and I need to get my Doctor Who costume all together. I am going to be the best Doctor ever...

edit:

Dear Ben Folds,

I NEED YOUR NEW ALBUM NOW. Not in two weeks, NOW.

Sincerely,

I'm quite tired of being single...

I think I am going to adopt a puppy from the B'ham Humane Society. I really really want a Beagle.

That is one (beagle mix) that they have right now, named Hilton. I neeeed this dog, but I have to wait until Friday. ahhh. They even have a cute little bio for the dog...

"Hi, my name is Hilton! I'm a playful, active girl with a heart of gold! I'm very talkative, too. I'd love to be a part of your loving family. Please take me home with you today!"

MAKES ME WANT HER EVEN MORE!

The War of Obsession [Mar. 25th, 2008|03:55 am]
[Tags|]
[mood | tired]

I have had this obsession with World War II lately, and I have no idea where it came from. Actually, I think I do know...

It all started when I hit the "Add to Queue" button on Netflix for the first disc of the epic mini-series by Ken Burns called, "The War". I put it at the top of my queue, and waited for the total shit film, "Catacombs", to be returned in the mail to Netflix, so I could get this said disc. Finally, the day came when I got the first disc, and I began to watch....

Now, a little bit of background for you guys about how I tend to watch documentaries. Unless it is soo enthralling that I must finish it right then, I tend to usually watch half of it in one sitting, and then the rest a bit later in the day, or even the next day. I have a really good attention span, it's just some documentaries....just have to be finished later.

Back to the story. I began to watch the first part of the 7-part series, and I was hooked. I sat through all of the 2.5 hours of stories on the documentary, and I WAS HOOKED. I sat there amazed, and had to have more. That's the only shitty part about Netflix. Unless you have a 6-at-a-time account (which I do), have poor planning skills in your queue (which I have worked on), etc, you have to go through the agony of knowing what happens next. This recently happened to me again when I started watching the first season of the ABC Family show, "Greek", when I watched all of the first disc in one sitting, and HAD TO HAVE MORE. I even wanted to finish the first season before the 2nd season premiere this evening, but, nope. I shall be getting said disc tomorrow.

But, I have gotten through 3 of the 7 parts of the miniseries, and I am waiting on part 7 to come in the mail tomorrow. One thing I really like about the series is the fact that it mainly features 4 cities throughout the whole documentary, one that includes my home area, Mobile. I never really knew a lot of what happened in the area during the war, and it is quite interesting to hear all about it. I mean, I remember going to all of the museums during elementary and middle schools to see all of the stuff involving this, but let's all be honest:

WHAT KID ACTUALLY PAID ATTENTION TO ANY OF THAT SHIT, ESPECIALLY AT THAT AGE?

My recent obsession with WWII only furthered itself when I finally watched Schindler's List for the first time recently. YES!! I know. A film nerd like me should kill himself for not seeing this beautiful film until now(and had a recent moment like this when I saw Bonnie & Clyde for the first time, but thats for another entry), but, I just DO NOT LIKE STEPHEN SPIELBERG. Yes, I HATE HIM. LOATHE. But, he did quite well with the film. Like "The War", I sat through all 3+hours of the film just mesmerized by it.

What will I watch next that is WWII related? Suggestions?

Oh, and I am tired of Environmental Science. I hate studying it. Blah. Blah................Blah.
